Background 

The business operates from a single large site and has some risk complexities that means it is not within every insurers appetite.  Some sizeable exposures at risk, with activities that requires the business to have invested heavily in fire prevention and other risk management measures. 

Problem 

As a result of the property insurance market becoming more challenging in recent times, insurer options were becoming fewer and fewer.  The business had been given a number of false promises by their incumbent broker (a Global broker) on the impending renewal.  They were left within days of their renewal date without assurance of having full cover available and also facing significant premium increases.

Upon request from the business to seek out a better solution on their behalf, we immediately got to work understanding the businesses main risks, investments made by them to protect against these and negotiate with suitable insurers to drive the best possible cover on their behalf. 

Within the very limited time available prior to their renewal, we were able to secure 100% of the cover required, with ‘A’ rated insurers, whilst also delivering competitive premiums.

Future

We are supporting the client with future plans to further mitigate their exposures and in turn this will open wider access to the insurance market = cost effective insurance program and adequate protection.
